For those who were there @ VCH on 08/05/07, I can only imagine the torture it is to hear that song 18 plus times... With the first 4 notes stuck in my memory, I recount the results SYF 07... GWH for VJC, HCI & NJC... Gold for ACJC, MJC & AJC & Silver for RJC, CJC, TPJC among others... Talk about NTUC Fairprice indeed... Eyebrows were raised, gasps were uttered and lots of explanation had to be given by the judges... It really looked like American Idol, minus Simon Cowell... Pity I missed the first and half of the second half... But I was lucky to catch VJC in action... When the dreaded first 4 notes were sung, the difference in class was there to hear... Nope I'm not biased... It's just that the 2 choirs before were... average... I guess it's the mee siam mai hum... Anyways, this SYF will be remembered for its controversial decisions. As for what these contentious points are, I gotta check with my friends who stayed back...
I've been really busy these few days cos of work... But I've got a plan... Because I managed to record VJC's Il Coro Dei Malammogliati, I've taken the time & liberty to compare with the one that my batch did back in '04... Now cos of many different factors that affects the recording and hence the sound quality, I must stress that my conclusions are not absolute or whatever... It is just a point of view and I will try my best to give the BoD whenever possible... As mentioned earlier, I'm very busy now so this will be coming soon over the weekend or 2...
