Kung Fu + Carolling at Raffles

It's Christmas Eve today!!! So exciting. Nothing like going with Wei Lin and Shawn to play in the swimming pool to start your day! After that, we met Chin Leng, Zi Yi, Kai Wen, Eugene and Dennis to watch Kung Fu Hustle!!

Kung Fu Hustle is a damn funny movie with moderate special effects. It has no storyline but it copies the special effects like bullet time from The Matrix and makes fun of The LOTR, Spiderman, batman and the roadrunner. As usual Stephen Chow is THE ONE, who was an ordinary guy trying to be bad but end up being the hero, similar to Keanu Reeves in The Matrix. It's a damn nice show. I shall not spoil it. It's so amusing. We were like laughing all the way.

After that we went to Bugis to walk around. Wei Lin managed to find a PINK shoebag for his friend. We then proceeded to Lady Sophia suite. We ate M&Ms peanuts for dinner. After warmups we went to the hotel lobby. Our 1st session was terrible. We were understrengthed(there were 4 tenors) and were not really warmed up. We were flat for all songs except In Dulci and Merry Chrsitmas. It was so disappointing.

Luckily the second time was better. We carolled at the same place but we were more warmed up and more seniors joined us. Our pitching was better. We also sang Gaudete but my solo wasn't that good. Don't know why... Just felt it was unsupported...

However, the 3rd session was the best. We went to the courtyard to carol. The conductor Wen Jie was damn pro. Our pitching and musicality was totally there. It was a wonderful carolling performance and I felt happy that we improved so much. Credit must really go to the conductor. He really pushed us to improve our musicality and our singing... I can't wait till tmr's reunion carolling...

To round it all up before Christmas day, I just wanna wish everyone a Merry Christmas!!!
