The First Nowell And O Come All Ye Faithful

I woke up late today. I was supposed to wake up damn early to go meet Joel but he never called. That guy is too much sometimes... And cos I spent the night trying to figure out the mystery of the Winamp, I slept quite late. So I woke up with a start and saw the clock... 8.20am!!! Sure CMI to school. Panic!!! I rushed to get changed, let the house and surprisingly reached school at 9 sharp. Woah... only to expreience a boring choir practice which saw us revising the christmas carols which we all know so well. We also practiced Kucinta and Zhu Guan Li, 2 of our Choir Olympic songs for Nelson's documentary on Tuesday (Nelson's our conductor). Honestly, we sound like shit... We went flat most of the time but then again it has been....... 5 months since we touched those songs. I only hope we will improve on the real day.

After choir pract, Wei Lin, Shawn, Chin Leng, Zi Yi and me went to KBox at Parkway. Joel didn't come cos he had no money... That 3 hour session was mind blowing!!!! We sang and sang all kinds of songs... Wei Lin, Chin Leng and Zi Yi sang chinese songs by Jay Chou and co.... while Shawn and me sang English songs from those boybands like Blue and A1... I sang Superstition and It's my life while the others sang Breathe Easy and Go The Distance. Shawn and Wei Lin's E were damn nice. I'm so jealous. Haha I broke at the B. But then I did not really blast and force the notes. I just used falsetto cos I had to sing solo later and did not want to spoil my voice. After we left, we all felt damn high. I think the average note was an A.... that was how High we were singing. It's totally mind blowing.

So we arrived at Parco Bugis all warmed up and ready to go. There were 5 altos this time so we could afford to sing louder but there was my senoir Kim Seng.... He's damn pro. Haha so it was another slack performance. The first song as usual was Joy To The World. The second song onwards was different. Haha we sang The First Nowell and O Come All Ye Faithful as the 2nd and 3rd song. Didn't need to blast the carols except O Holy Night and Gaudete. Man, my Gaudete solo CMI. My seniors said I was too soft. I guess I have to blast it tmr. I was hesistant cos I could not hear myself. The sound travels forward but does not come back. Fine!!! I'll blast it tmr!! Hahahahaha!!!! Hope I blast it correctly.....

After the carolling, we minus Shawn who had to go home early but plus Joel who could join us went to the hawker centre opposite Bugis Junction to eat. After that we went to Sim Lim Square and saw the Logitech MX 1000 laser mouse for $135... So cool!!!

As I came back home I saw a bit of Singapore Idol Finals. I heard Taufik's Superstition and Sly's It's My Life. I also heard Taufik's I Dream and Dick Lee's 2 songs. I must say we sounded alright!!! Haha trust mediacorp and their bag of tricks to change and modify everything. I'll talk about my Idol adventure some other time...... Here is the lyrics to the 3rd carol we sang today.
