Wake Me Up When September Ends III

Finally, the slog to the top of the detail sheet has ended... Staring down at my comrades, I feel the winds of change blowing from the month of Nov... Already, I can feel freedom beckoning. A light and dizzy feeling engulfs me, making me feel extremely sleepy. Perhaps it's the irreversible change of my lifestyle, perhaps the current lingering lifestyle, whatever it is, just wake me up when September ends... I'm gonna be like Snorlax and use Sleep... At this stage, the game is only for me to lose... Soon it will be the final steps to victory and finally home... I'm finally going home!!! How apt then, that the month of September stands in my way. The significance of September cannot be understated. An obstacle back in the As... Another last year from clambering up the detail sheet (not to the top back then but just a step up!)... In retrospect, it was really a slog to the top (thought there were some good moments)... And so it is that as of now, 55 days remain...

To recap, on the 1st, I went to Suntec for Comex to check out the LCD TVs... Then it was on to Funan to get a Halo 3 T- shirt... Ya I am that crazy about the game, but not as crazy as others who camped there super early just to catch a glimpse of Master Chief... I just got the T shirt and made a hasty exit... Oh and a point to note... The entrance of Master Chief was super corny... After serving my country, I've seen better instances of Urban Warfare then this... And the lines that they used... Man I dunno whether to laugh or cry... But heck, playing the game is the most important thing... All the pre-hype can flop for all I care... Then on Sun, I came back to Comex to finish what I started, acquiring a particular LCD TV...

On the 6th, I supposed to meet Andrew and co. for Bible Study (tt's why I couldn't perform with VJ Choir on that day)... But I reached the venue early and Andrew and Daryl were unfortunately late... So I was hungry and I had a $12 voucher for Billy Bombers... Suffice to say, the rest was history... For all my visits to BB, I finally laid my hands on their Bailey's Choc Milkshake... Really good stuff... And the lost world burger was huge!!! Thankfully the voucher helped a lot... Then it was a rendezvous with Marianne and Andrew for dinner part 2 at Soup Spoon... I (again) ordered a Clam Chowder... Now I'm writing all this in some vain attempt to make me feel guilty and psycho myself to eat less... Man I gotta watch what I eat... Is it just me or has my appetite tripled? But the gluttony did not end there... After Daryl's arrival, we went to Ben and Jerry's for dessert... We ordered some Merlion thingy... In a nutshell (literally, forgive the pun), 5 scoops in a waffle piece with nuts (hence in a nutshell) and caramel sause... Cool huh? Yeah heavenly is the word... And when we were all full and satisfied, we proceeded to the main event of the day... But halfway along guess who I met? (Or rather who saw me?) It was the chorale peeps... At least the guys... Manz, YC, Emma, Jian Hao and the cow... Wha they asked me why I didn't go for the performance and I told them I got BS what... Hopefully they understood... Manz talk about coincidence... That shows how bloody small S'pore really is, or rather how small it is on the outside...

And finally the last interesting event to recall... I watched Ratatouille on the 10th... A very touching and soulful movie with lots of depth, I learned that anyone can cook... Ok seriously... I learnt that we should'nt judge a book by its cover... Actually I was inspired that day to write something about the show but it seems that I have forgotten... Oh wells... Until the next 11 days then...
