I Plan To Take Over The World!/Which Side Are U On?

My predictions and strategies for the 1st day of work on 3rd Jan worked almost flawlessly... I predicted that the road would be super congested as all the "kiasu" parents and their precious cubs travel to school in their BMWs or Toyotas etc... I took the 2nd bus and skipped the jams! Whew man the specs weren't impressed with the latecomers! Well it was typical first day of work/school madness. Every year it's like that... One spec commented to ERP all school entrances... Haha no comments on tt... Then my strategy for not sleeping well in the past 3 days worked impeccably as my prediciton was almost spot on, albiet 2 hrs earlier... So I slept through the whole morn and afternoon and bypassed all the angels and demons... By the time I awoke was so refreshed there was no turning back... Let's just say I'm now living in London and experiencing Greenwich Meridian time right now... Now that gave me lots of time to reflect and keep my mind awake and alert at night... By this morn, I was in super high spirits and morale... So high was I that I was almost inclined to love my work... But that would be treason, I realised, and quashed the thought immediately... Don't get me wrong... I thank God everyday that he let me work in such a unique environment which doesn't permit me to hug trees everyday but to take care of pokemons and dinosaurs instead! I am grateful for where I am but that doesn't mean I love it... Sure it has its moments of excitement and that's as far as I will go to praise my line of work... I will never ever love it or even enjoy it as much as VJC or VJC choir or even VC for that matter...

Suddenly it feels so free to be "junior of the senior"... Of course more senior would be better... But that will come with time... And life can only get better... I can't wait! It had better improve! I slog so hard to prevent my section from getting screwed... Fine Tham the kid and me slog so hard... All the privileges attached to it but of course the responsibility too... But from experience most of the time the privileges outweigh the responsibilty involved... Yep it seems like my hard work last year has paid off... It's time to sit back and enjoy the rewards... Which turns my attension to other things that matter to me... With my brain having the con, efficiency has to, no, MUST increase! The goals are set... Now it's time for a grand plan... A plan to take over the world... And of course effort must be put in too... Time is on my side... Only Army is not on my side as usual... It will be hard I forsee but I'll play every trump card I have and whatever rights that they owe me! Ok remind me to keep that ego in check!

Let's see... 2 objectives are in motion alr... Planning to start 3 more soon... Leaving SOV 07 to a most probable OIL... And leaving the remaining 4 for the later part of the year when I really ORD or am close to! Yeah it's always good to start early I feel... But somethings u can't just start early...

After the caroling episode, there was an issue that struck me real hard and got me questioning myself... But after a whole lot of thinking especially these few days, I came to a conclusion... But lemme explain... Now the affair with VJC Choir had me worried cos of the rustiness of everything to do with singing(support, placement, tone, whatever)... On the bright side of things, most of my peers lost the plot too... Basically we were floundering and watermeloning most if not all the way... I guess its the army's fault...(I mean duh right this prob affects us guys more than girls!) Ok there were flashes of inspiration but what we need is consistency... So the way I see it(and I might be wrong on this), we're like some retired footballers playing exhibition football... Now there's nothing wrong with that to "honour" the retirees... But when we want to play competition football, technically we gotta come outta retirement... But we're off form, unfit and we'll sure struggle to make an impact... So the question is should we just come out of retirement and try to find our best form or fade away into the horizon or just don't even try at all and move on? Of course there are lots of factors like time, passion, etc that affect the outcome of the answers. Critics of the former will say that we'll just clinging on to the glorious days of the pass and are unwilling to face reality and move on... Detractors of the latter will argue that if we don't try(meaning: Practice like siao!), how do we know that we cannot repeat the glorious days of yesteryear and perhaps, really surpass the expectations? So ultimately it bogs down to the age old question... When is enough enough? When should we stop/retire for good? Well I am not going to give my side of the story... Not yet at least... My actions will do the talking... But I gotta question to ask. Which side are u on?
