Zheng He and Haigen Daas

Woah... Long time no blog... Well... A lot of things just passed by... No time to study for mid yrs... Haha I think mid years is gonna be a flop like last yr... Fail liao... Anyway... been eating Hagen Daas icecream for the past week... Hahaha I am so fat now... Ok let's see.... Hmmm last week I ate 4 scoops of Hagen Daas... Baileys rock to the core!!! Ok Wednesday was like the first esplanade practice with the SCO for the Zheng He thingy... Haha 1 scoop of midnight cookies for me!! Haha dinner money's gotta go somewhere... Ok free dinner sucks... Still prefer last yr's food... Argh... Luckily I ate ice cream... Warmups was... terrible... Haha girls and guys totally in different key.... We shd just listen more and stop blasting... HAiz... Luckily we can hold scores!!! Yay!!! Ah... The issue of the china choir peeps... Everybody was like saying how good they were... When I heard them I was like... You call this good??? Haha their vibrato's damn pro all right but they tend to go flat... Haha ok maybe cos I think that pitch is very impt... Give me another 30 yrs k... I'll train my vibrato!!! Haha maybe be like good old Bruce Wayne and go into exile and come back after 30 yrs or smt... HAha!

Thursday was abt the same.. We seperated the boys from the girls. Warmups was better! Nelson was back and was he pissed... Haha expected cos we weren't up to standard... Luckily the practice was ok! Nelson said we sang well after the practice cos we managed to cover the china peeps... Hahaha the china peeps are not that pro after all!!! I can't stand them... I found out tt they smoke... Eeee so disgusting... Smoke in aircon place somemore... Hiaz... No fine... Why?? Maybe cos they're invited... So after pract I ate 1 more scoop of midnight cookies!!! Yay!

Friday was the real event... Ya just decided to buy 1 scoop before the the thing cos I was early... Oooo more midnight cookies... Dinner's really getting from back to worse... Wha the food really sucks la. Decided to eat a little and throw the rest away (ya I waste food ok... Go sue me!). Played more cards... Bridge ya! And Gab was suggesting we perform Os Justi for end of the yr PCC... HAhah I'm for it! Os Justi rocks to the core!!! Ya so it sorta inspired me to blast for the chinese songs.. But it's quite sad at the same time.... I dunno what's happening but I broke the lowest note record.... Low C#... Bass 2.... Wha from tt note to middle F is madness... Haha CL and Shawn were like super shocked tt I could reach tt note... Haha I'm going bass already... NOOOOO!!! Tenors rock la... Haha I hope it's temporary... Luckily after some warmups I could reach the Gs... Whew... Tyco la.... Haha... So I just blasted the Gs for the songs... Haha I love the malay song!!! It so rocks... I decided to vibrato the holding notes for fun... Haha... Oh and the first night was a night of flops!!! Haha firstly Jian Hao and co and me... Aiya... The conductor looked like he was going to signal to ask so we like sang the note a bar earlier... Haha luckily it wasn't obvious... Then the SCO played some wrong notes and their timing was a little flawed... Our timing was a little flawed too... Then the soloist sang and held a flat note... Then, the narrator came out too early and went back without saying a word!! That was the most obvious mistake I've seen.... Ya and finally the basses and one of the china peeps sang an extra hei!!! HAha quite obvious... Oh well it was quite funny but overall it was ok la... With the exception of the narrator, the other mistakes weren't tt obvious:)!!! So after the performance, Joel Asik and me went to eat another scoop of Hagen Daas! HAha this time it's custard pudding!!! Wooo! And we went to the Esplanade Garden to look see... Heard Os Justi on Joel's Zen Micro on the way back... Yup the memories! HAha then onto Bedok Mac for supper!!! Wanted to watch Batman but I would have no bus home! It's so bloody late la...

Saturday... I fell sick! HAha I got runny and block nose... Quite ironic... Mucus coming out but the nose is blocked at the same time... Haiz... Didn't want to go but wth... So I went... Hmmm a lot of ppl nv come... But it wasn't really any diff... HAha The usual shit... Dinner sucks... Warmups was ok... Decided to slack with the basses until I was caught by Gab... Hey I'm reaching the low notes like nothing la! Haha maybe I'm sick... More bridge! And I fell in love with the Zen Micro... HAha I shall add it to my wish list... Ah... Just blasted the notes again... This time Joel, Shawn and me vibrato the holding notes!! HAha tt's the way man! Yup!! This time there was less mistakes I think... Haha the double bass...(there were 2 of em) One of the db was playing the wrong note so it was quite obvious the chord was distorted... Wha luckily the conductor looked at tt person and it was rectified... Woah close call man. Ah after the thing, Joel, Shawn and me got another scoop of custard pudding ice cream!!! HAha I am so crazy abt ice cream! Napfa over so can enjoy... Well done Calvin!!! Tt's the way!!! HAha... We missed a little of No man... But it was ok... No man was ok la... Then we did the VJ cheer. The ppl wanted to sing Leonardo and Pamugun... So we sang... Wha kao zhao sia... Flat and sharp... The notes were fluctuating... Really jia lat... It was totally disgusting! Worse than COP... Wha If Nelson was there we would be dead... HAha then they didn't give up... Sang Pamugun... Wha even worse... Really disgusting... So unprofessional... A lot of ppl were looking at our direction... Wha really throw face... If u all wanna sing like tt go K box!!! Really CMI man... So I dragged Shawn and Joel out of the fray... Tt's the VJ choir... Gold with honours standard. Almost wanted to quit... Tt's so not the way... When we won last yr,we still had the diginity to sing properly for the performance la... This yr I was so disappointed... Seriously humiliating... VJC choir... Haiz I dunno what to say already... I think we showed the DSC ppl how lousy we can be! Haha ironic isn't it? We promised them smt special but it was a real flop... Totally! So we left in disppointment... Haiz... So Joel and me went to drink soup at this soup place @ Raffles... Clam Chowder was nice!!! HAha... So I counted the cost of my feasting... 9 scoops of HAGEN DAAS ice cream. OOO I love myself! Tt's how one shd pamper himself....

Sunday... A day of rest... So tired... But still have to go to church... Luckily I could still play the songs despite some wrong notes(oopsy)... Ah well... Life's like tt... Oh Happy Father's Day!!! Hahaha! And I went back to sleep! Life's like tt... Eating and sleeping... Tt's what the hols are for! I think I am going to die for midyrs... Oh wells...
