Yesterday was slack PE again... We ran 5 rounds round the hall, with each round shrinking in size... Then we played Floorball... Seet gave us a little rundown how to pass, chip the ball and score... The 1st 2 were no problem... Scoring was! 3 chances and I flopped... It was a pass to Seet who in turned passed back to drill into the empty net... Of course it have been easier if you controlled the ball and then shoot... But I decided a 1 touch shot... Failed miserably... The closest shot of the 3 banged the post... Maybe if the goal was a bit bigger...
Whites vs Blacks... My team was white and were mostly girls so we had Seet on our side... The blacks had the 3 star strikers... My job as goalkeeper was simple and slack. Stop em at all cost! Well with Seet, our team was crusing to a 5-1 victory when Seet left. That was the turning point... Reeve, Matt Lau and Chun Meng started their zany runs from left to right... Reeve scored 2 at close range after initial blocks from Chun Meng... I was promoted to defender but they scored 2 more to make it a thrilling 5-5 draw. I guess it was fair cos the pros were in the black team while we had Seet... He scored a damn nice goal from my goalpost area. He flicked the ball so high and fast, it flew past the heads of everyone and into Ben who chested it in! Now tt's what I call pro... Ian and I made some good saves to deny the 3 strikers but it was not enough cos it was 2 against 3... I saved with my legs, stick, hand and face! It's only when it's close range then they could score. Oh well......
Chinese lesson was cancelled!!! As Ben and me left the LT, the alarms rang!!! Some guy "found" a mysterious orange parcel and reported to G.O who sounded the evacuation. We all hurried to the field. It's so freaking hot! 12 pm somemore... Why did the guy had to find it at 12, why not earlier when it was cooler... Found our class, took attendence and stuff like tt... Then we went to the Hall to listen to some police officer blabber about Spore's defense against terrorism and praise about the foiled attempts to blow up the American Embassy etc... He also told us what to do in case of a chemical attack. I was thinking we'll be dead before we got a chance to tape the doors and windows etc... The best thing is the Hall's aircon was not on... Imagine so many ppl inside a stuffy hall. Madness man... The Seet told us we took 14 mins to evacuate and assemble in the field. He said tt was fast!!! I can only conclude that VJC is damn big cos in Primary school it took 5 mins, Sec sch 10 mins and now 15...
For choir pract we learned Go Lovely Rose and revised Cloudburst. Rose is a nice song but I still prefer Lily cos it's more difficult and quoting Nelson, gimmicky! Anyway Rose is a slow song, slower then Lily and much easier. But that song has a lot of long phrases that we need to word paint... The chords are weird too. A little bit like Water Night. So I guess it'll still be a challenging song to do for SOV...
Combine at Siglap is getting intense. Nelson did Rose. It was ok I guess for our 1st time. We're already doing dynamics. Then we did Tumbalalaika. That Hebrew song's easy but the words are hard cos we're doing it at a fast tempo. Then was my favourite song Lily!!! We're already doing stresses, accents, phrasing and dynamics... Technically whatever tt's written on the score. Then we did Yerushalayim. It's getting better though the girls are still flat... Oh well at least we're improving. We rounded up with Cloudburst. It's a spanish song. We completed it this time. It's a bit like Rose and Water Night but even slower with as many clash chords... Maybe cos it's our first time...
Rounding off the night, the usual gang and juniors Marcus, Dennis, Edwin, Asik and Darren went to Bedok Interchange to eat and talk cock...
Today I was lost during S Paper lectures (as usual). I am so screwed... I don't understand anything... 3 lessons and it's not getting better... I wonder what will happen after the selection test...
