Right it's that time of the year again for (most) guys/boys... IPPT... No surprise there right? Especially when women my age don't need to take it (unless u are part of Our Army)... So as the saying goes "when the going gets tough, the tough gets going"... Well it seems the time has come for the big day tmr... So lemme[sic] outline strategy for tmr... For sit ups and pull ups there ain't no strategy available (unless u got some spec, PTI or friend on ur side)... Ahem ahem well I didn't say anything evil did I? Right which leaves the remaining 3... For SBJ, it'll be 45 degrees just like what projectile motion predicts (neglecting air resistance of course)... Right theory is one thing, practical is another... Guess it's time for some legs[sic] on... Next, shuttle run... Legs apart should do the work... Big, big strides... If I learnt ballet, I would even do the split to get the object... We shall see...
And of course the subject of my title... The main point of this post is to highlight the beautiful strategy for running 2.4 km on the 800 m track... Thanks to Beyonce for this magnificent plan... The plan: To the left, to the left, every round u run on the track to the left... Of course I modified it from the song cos it has no link whatsoever... See the link now? I remember back 2 yrs some "idiot" said the difference between the innermost and outermost 400m tracks are negligible... Well for a 800m track, the difference is 2(negligible)... Simple mathematics that would predict the difference between pass and failure... Strictly to the left all the way...
Next, comes the cornering of the 800m track... Compared to a 400m one, definately the centipetal force and accelaration required for constant horizontal velocity is lesser for the former than the latter... So lucky me to have a 800m track right? But still, would it be better to slow down when cornering as mentioned in the basic theory driving book? Well even when turning with a car, I had to slow down to <20km/h> I was running fast (notice the word if!) do I have to slow down so that I don't need to use so much force? Hmm more practical tmr will tell...
The next 2 strategies depend on random factors... Firstly, weather... Duh right... May tmr be a cooling day thanks to Global Warming... Well normally our morns are not cold but for the last 3 weeks it felt like Australia in the morn!!! Must be Global Warming... If I pass, I will thank Global Warming, u can bet on that... Next time dilation... Not Einstein's but the one the average Joe faces everyday... Now it's the same feeling every 30 mins before dismissal or any breaks... Time seems to dilate/stretch for infinity before the bell rings or the clock strikes... So tmr I'll just keep thinking of going home... That should do the work and give me ample time to finish the 2.4...
Before I close, I'm going to release my version of Irreplaceble... It's called Pass IPPT...
To the left To the left
To the left To the left
Mmmm to the left, to the left
Every round you run on the track to the left
In the closet, that's my shoes
Yes, E Mart gave me shoes, please don't touch (don't touch)
And keep talking when running, thats fine
Could you walk and run, at the same time?
And it's my name thats on that detail
So go move your arms, let me get you a bar
Standing in the training shed, telling me
How I'm such a fool, talking 'bout
How I'll never ever pass IPPT like you
You got me twisted
I must pass IPPT
I must pass IPPT
I could run a round in 4 minutes
Matter fact, I'll do situps in a minute (baby)
I must not go RT
I must not go RT
I can have another silver by tomorrow
So don't you ever for a second get to thinkin'
I failed IPPT?
Get it? Stay tuned for the results and also another version of Irreplacable, this time about driving!!!
