War Of The Worlds & My Obligations

Wednesday was a slack day... PE... The teacher said "run as many rounds as u like"... Not as slack as last yr's MacD trip but quite slack... Then we played Captain's Ball which reminded me of Pri and Sec sch days... Ya nothing's changed... Only the game moves so much faster... After we scored the other team equalised just like tt!!! And the defending was sooo good! Kar Wee, Matt Lau and Ling... They saved so many shots... So pro la! Then after school the girls and Matt Lau and me (I wonder why?) went to 7-11 to buy snacks... Then half the girls and me went for some talk with this external speaker (The reason I went was cos there was choir later)... Saw Ian somewhere... But then I slept! I vaguely recall the speaker saying "I know some of you are closing your eyes to reflect on what I just said"... Absolutely spot on! So after tt I went for choir pract... Sang Lily, Pamugun and Mei Li Di Cao Yuan for some Taiwan choir exchange... Quite bad but expected after 2 weeks of not singing... And furthermore, I broke my voice... Which means my high Gs are gone... NOOOO!!! Freak! I had to falsetto anything above F... Haha and for the 1st time I heard Gab comment tt the tenors were soft... Haha cos a lot of ppl were not there... Army checkup... So did I mention bad??? Ya... gave up reaching the high notes...

Thursday I went to watch War of the Worlds @ GV Tampines after school with my mom!!! The movie was so cool! At least the beginning was sooo scary! Haha kudos to Tom Cruise, who has the uncanny ability to escape from the most hopeless of all situations... Running from laser beams, dodging the alien "eye" and being rescued from death by fellow captured humans... Ya tt guy is so pro... Too bad the ending was a little abrupt... Maybe it's because 15 mins of the movie was cut... I dunno... But it seemed so abrupt... A pity then because the beginning was so spectacular... All the buildings and ppl blowing up... But sadly, when I came out of the cinema, something similar and real happened in London... Only then did I realise tt the boy in the movie was right to suggest tt it was a terrorist attack... Because tt's what the world today is facing... Terrorism... Hiaz how many more will have to die?

Today I went for choir pract again after school... This time it was at SSCC... But before tt I went to Haigen Daas to try the flavour of the month... Vanilla with some nuts... Quite nice... But I still preferred the chocolate or Bailey's!!! Ok so we went through the 3 songs again and went for a rehearsal on stage... Really flopped... Not enough support and the sound was very dispersed... Nelson was obviously not happy... He asked us to warm up... Luckily we tried block position and it was better... The chairs are absorbing the sound... Anyway, it was ok... So we were given some time to rest, which I spent with Jian Hao and Martin teachnig them how to sing nursery rhymes in minor... Ya! I love minors! It's quite fun to change the tune of the nursery rhymes... Makes it sound... sadder!! Ok I was bored!!! Haha so tt's one way to entertain ppl... Finally we were called to go to the hall... We stood at the side of the hall( it was full house!!!) and waited while the Taiwanese choir sang... Wait and wait and wait... Song after song... They must have sung like 10 + songs before our turn... Ok they really were enjoying themselves and you can see tt they meant what they're singing with all the expressions and actions and all, but after a while it gets boring... So u see ppl listening to their Mp3 player, playing with handphones or the traditional head tilt... Sad but tt's reality... I have to admit, we were also restless... So finally we went to perform... It was standard... Pitching was bad etc etc... But on a whole enough to "scare the audience"... Haha cheap thrills... So after tt the choir CRC made a hell lot of annoucements tt bored me to death before releasing us at 10pm... Woah! No more 608... So we had to walk one busstop down to take 31... Ya ended up at Bedok MacD eating Big Mac before going home... What a day...

On a side note, I was supposed to attend a 4D class BBQ today... But unless I exhibit electron like properties and can be at 2 places at 1 time, it's pretty obvious I have to choose... Please understand, it's not tt I don't want to go for the BBQ... I told Ian I would gladly go if not for my obligations... Furthermore today is a performance day, not an ordinary practice... So for those ppl who already step down, just be happy and content tt u don't need to go back for ur CCA and stop trying to convince others to do likewise... Those ppl from 4D, u know who u are... So disappointed in u guys...
