Just came back from Esplanade and I'm freaking tired... I know tt my blog's been like dead for 1 week plus... Been busy with a lot of things... I will elaborate another day... Now about today's performance!!! To make things short, it was damn pro... So after chem pract which I tired and failed to make a silver mirror from Tollen's reagent... Hiaz...
Anyway, Nelson came today... And we sounded good in the PT... Really good... Pamugun was slow and steady! Mu Ge was powerful and supported... Lily was ok and Cloudburst was cool!!! In fact we actually finished pract quite early... Enough to go Parkway for dinner... Ya and go to MPH to read books... So when we reached the Durian, we were ushered to this small room and into some sort of holding area which was also one of the many PTs... Ya and VS guys are damn funny and cute... This Sec 1 boy wanted to pee so he asked Nelson for permission... Then he went to ask the teacher from Cedar where the toilet was... Whaaa... I didn't know u could get lost in the Durian!!! So funny!!!
Then we were called to the backstage to warm up... The backstage was kinda big and spacy with ceilings tt almost touched some stupid number in metres... Wl was like saying we do warm ups here and in 10 yrs time the reverb will come back... Ya we sang the beginning of each song to get ourselves familiar before singing... Christmas Carols... Ya, O Holy Night and Joy To The World... Man I miss those days... Ya finally it was showtime... HCI was good no doubt... In the end, pardon me from being biased, We rocked the house down!!! Pamugun was stable and steady but sharp... Mu Ge was a little weaker than previously... Lily... It was the BEST Lily I have ever heard!!! Damn good... I have nothing to say! The last part was super pro... You could hear the reverb of the last chord... Really, it was almost perfect... And I could reach the As!!!! ( I found out it was quartertone flat but I still think it was better than SOV...) Ah finally Cloudburst... The beginning was a bit draggy cos it was slow... But the later part was damn cool... The MAh oh part with the thundersheets... Absolutely magical!!! Nelson was signalling to ask for more power,... So the back row peeps just blasted away!!! The effect was so damn magical... The audience really helped to make the sound of the raindrops! Ya all in all it was damn successful...
No Man Is An Island! The choir anthem and the VJ cheer was done outside the Durian much to the chagrin of curious onlookers!!! Who cares la! VJ choir rocks to the core! It was really sad to perform for the last time with Nelson... Ya and it's prob one of the last few times I'll sing the choir anthem... It is an honour to perform with VJC choir this last 2 yrs... So in order to remember... Pic taking session!!! Tenor photo!!! Hahaha... Ya some things never change.... Tenors rock! VJC choir rocks! And this will be a night to remember along with the many other events tt we all took part these last 2 yrs!!! No Man Stands Alone!
