Gold With Honours

Yesterday when I came back at 7... I just slept... Right the whole day was tense and tiring... VJC Choir got a Gold With Honours... Ok so I went to school at 0645 hours... Warm up, change and Nelson came to go through the songs one last time... It was soo cool... Our voices were "fresh". Lily was a little flat... Ya and then we sang VJC Choir Anthem, No Man Is An Island... It really brought back some good memories... It was also the song tt inspired me to come here and sing with the BEST choir in Singapore! Nelson went to watch ACJC while we formed up outside SCH.... Ok ACJC was singing... Their Sunset was 1 tone sharp? I dunno... Their chinese (?) song was damn nice!!! We were kinda nervous... Then Nelson told us abt ACJC's flop... Well let tt spur us on he said... So we were on stage... Sunset was a little flat... I could tell but not sure to what extent... Maybe a quarter tone... Lily I felt was quite ok...Except the last part which went sharp... But I thought it was really ok... Pamugun was rushing... But Nelson managed to control it... We were sharp... But Jia Yun came in with tt D tt was like a bullseye... Smack on the D and we were in tune again... Right... So we were quite scared cos we didn't exactly did tt well... Until we heard the next few choirs... OMG some of the choirs were so funny!!! Really felt sad for them... Hiaz... Such a huge difference in standard... The only other choir after us tt were of standard was TPJC... Ya then it was a break which I went with the gang to eat Cafe Cartel... Damn ex but they had free bread!!! Yeah!

Came back for the results... I heard from someone tt AJC did really well and HCI was quite good too! Ya now I felt scared... Then we sorta waited 15 mins inside for someone to announce the results... It was really tense... Really uncertain... If we didn't get Gold with Honours, we'll be the biggest losers in the entire galaxy... Olympic Champions losing to some choir? NO WAY... So we waited for what seemed like eternity... Then some chairman of SYF came out to talk abt the judges... More time wasting blah blah... And IT came! In order of performance... ACJC Gold with Honours...(I was like shit oh no we are so gonna throw our face if we don't get the same...) blah blah VJC....GOLD WITH HONOURS! And boy did we almost brought the whole of SCH down... YES!!! VICTORY!!! blah blah... AJC Gold With Honours!!! Applause for our fellow choristers... HCI gold with honours.... Wha... Not bad sia in my previous post I almost predicted correctly who would get Gold With Honours!!! Haha only RJC didn't get it... Oh so sad... Then they announced in alphabetical order the 2 choirs tt will perform in some public concert. HCI (YES tt means NO ACJC!!!) and VJC...Yes this time we brought the whole SCH down... What a blast... Kudos to Nelson our choir conductor, our SCs Jia Yun and Gabriel Chow, and the SLs!!! Yeah smiles all around the VJ camp... So we went down to sing our choir anthem... It was so cool until some idiotic guy came and told us to shut up cos got some school in the hall... No link tt guy... I bet everyone was like so pissed with him, myself included... Spoil the atmosphere only... So we went outside and sang the anthem... It was so surreal... Just like in Bremen... Ya!!! Everyone was like holding hands, even the seniors were there!!! No Man Is An Island Indeed!!! It was very emotional... I was soo glad so joyful tt I could be part of this event... And what else would be there but the VJC cheer... YA!!! So we sorta went to celebrate... I shook Gab's hand... Good job man! You rock! So the gang went to Suntec to celebrate... Ya nothing much just the usual 1 litre drinks... Haha me and my milo... 1 litre k and Zi Yi and Kai Wen's fruit juice....
Today I heard we are the unofficial champions in terms of score... Well done to AJC too who almost won us if they had point something more marks! Well enjoy the fruits of victory my fellow choristers but do take note it's not over yet... SOV's coming up!!! We gotta put up a good performance at the Esplande... Ya and do take note tt we weren't our best so please do not let arrogance cloud ur judgement... I feel tt we still got a lot to improve especially the year 1s!!! Year 2s... It's our last SOV so let's rock the esplande... It's there for tt reason. What's done is done... Now it's time to focus on SOV and tt upcoming public performance. Let us show the public why VJC is the number 1 choir in Singapore!!!!
