Leonardo Dreams

Third day of CNY(friday) was a fluke! X country! Siao la. Auspicious, ya right! After eating so much stuff the past few days, you want me to run, fat hope! 4.8 somemore... (Then again, I won't run also if it was any other day.) I couldn't be bothered. Started from the back, then when ran out, switched on my MP3 player and listened to songs. I only ran as I came into the school. Then there was lucky draw! Even better!!! I continued to listen to my MP3s and even sang the songs, waiting, waiting for... MASS DANCE!!! Yeah. Now tt's what I call fun! Too bad they only did 3 out of the 5. But who gives a damn. Better than nothing! Went home to play DOW with Ben. Still lost to 2 insane com on Saint's Sqaure, tt blasphemous map. I also defended Helm's Deep in LOTR.

Saturday- Went tanning with Wei Lin. Shawn CMI. Dunno why... Too bad for him. The sun was particularly strong tt day! Could feel the heat underwater! Then WL had to go to his grandpa's funeral. I went alone to choir pract. I was super off form that day! I just know it cos I tend to go flat... Dunno why too... Must be cos CNY ate a lot of chocolates and drank some alcohol too! We did the 2 chinese songs cos it was CNY as Nelson said. Then we did the 2 heavyweight songs, Rose and Lily! Flat as usual and the dynamics not there... Dona Dona still sucks la. Even with the English words, it ain't helping. Truth is, it's the hardest song I've learnt in VJ Choir. Even most of the tenors will agree... Nelson was comtemplating to scrap it! At the end, Marcus, Dennis and me were talking to Nelson abt Lily and Rose... Smt about Rose being a nicer and a song with more feelings... Lily is just to techinical... And abt going back to Tk to help sing at the end of the year for some competition. I feel we seniors shouldn't help them. Don't get me wrong, I am not being traitorous or anything. But then by helping them, we're not really nurturing the talents of the juniors. Furthermore, it could make the juniors too dependent on the seniors. We should instead help them in other ways like going back to teach them instead of performing with them. Went home to play with Ben. Still kena trashed.
Sunday- Chun Meng and Pari came to my house in the afternoon to do chem project. Damn slack. Copied and pasted most of the stuff and finished it in 1 hour. Then it was gaming time! Trashed Chun Meng in Fifa 2005. Chun Meng tried HL2. Said it was a damn nice game. The graphics were so realistic. Haha been there, done that. Then Pari and Chun Meng played NFS Underground. Wha they can't drive cars for nuts! Kept banging on the walls. Maybe it's cos of the cars... Then we all played Worms World Party! Damn solid. Flying Sheeps, Cows (nothing to do with Gabriel Cheow), Banana Bombs, Super Banana Bombs, Holy Hand Grenades, Flamethrowers, Miniguns, Nuclear Test, Homing Pidgeons, Pasty's Magic Bullet and of course, Concrete Donkey and Armaggadon!!! Worms were flying, swimming and dying like nobody's business. After they left, I played with Ben. We played 1v1. I decided to use Eldar instead. Kena trashed. But still learning. At least I gave Ben a run for his money.

Monday- Friendship Day a.k.a V day. Gifts were everywhere. Love was in the air. They did the friendship dance during assembly. Even the teachers were slack. They let us talk during lects and joked during tutorials. So coolz. Then the SC played dedications with songs in the canteen. That was like so cool. The only sad thing was the revealing of the angel and mortal. Ben and me couldn't be present cos we had chinese... Eventually I did find out who my angel was. Damn I don't know the name cos we didn't really write alot. She lost my letter and I lost hers. Damn sad la. Hmm I know she was from band and I heard she's damn pro... For choir pract, we learnt Leonardo Dreams Of His Flying Machine. That song is damn long, 20 pages. It's quite difficult cos the note jumps are awkward and it changes key so many times, with chromatics and stuff... But tenor section being pro, did it under 1 hour. Didn't need to repeat the song. Singing it again without the piano would be a problem. But tt's another day... The poor basses were stunned while we were dismissed.

Tuesday- Tutorial day... Nothing much. The whole day is all tutorials. The only thing tt's new is the SC nominees' speech. It was quite amusing. We got so many different personalities. The serious, the sarcastic, the arrogant, the confident, the radical and others... And if you can't sing, DON'T TRY! Other than laughing at the SI, I mean SC wannabes, I also gave my mortal her belated friendship day present. Forgot to bring la...

Wenesday- Mock Napta day. Was doing pull ups when my left hand cracked. Damn loud tt crack. My whole left hand suddenly had 0 power. No choice, had to let go. My whole left hand hurt real bad. I was like cursing away... Not a pretty sight. Felt really bad. But not as bad as Merd. As she jumped for SBJ, she fractured her foot. We thought it was toe cramp at first but it started swelling. Damn suay. For CT session, we had sex education! We were dicussing about intimacy. Reeve was like saying about physical and emotional intimacy. Well only Reeve know best! He's the pro after all! So Reeve stole the show with his broad knowledge and experience of intimacy! For choir, it was more of Leonardo and his dreams... Jian Hao tried to sight sing it without piano. Bad choice. Went off key mostly. Even Kai Wen and me dare not sight sing so loud. We also succumbed to some of the notes. Not pro mah... Well Shawn's improving. He managed some of the jumps. We were like so impressed. Oh well I was still a little off form... It feels like my sight reading's deproving... Or is it the song's are getting harder? We then combined in Lt3. Nelson was busy. We did Lux. Easy. Only flat as usual. Rose and Lily is improving. We're putting dynamics into the song. But then it's a little too stiff as quoted by Marcus my junior, who's the pro tenor and is gonna be either the SL or ML although he denies it! The way he speaks up about this problem is a clear indication about his competency! Definately ML material! Not surprising at all given his acheivements from Tk and Vocal Consort... Went to eat dinner after tt with Chin Leng and Kai Wen. Then I went home to play DOW with Ben. Played with com. Holy shit! We were masscared. The Com came amd romped our forces. Unbelievable.

Today- My legs and arms are aching. Besides tt, today's lecture day. 10 periods of lecture! Enjoy!!!
