Joy To The World And Deck The Halls

Well, that was the first 2 songs we did for carolling today. Quite similar from Tueday's carolling except that the rest of the songs were in different order. Today we went....Parco Bugis to carol (as usual) and at least we sounded better than Tuesday. Hmmmm...... the tenors toned down and the choir sounded more balanced (6 tenors versus 3 altos). Ya, Joel, Shawn and me, we just slacked and blended with the blasters, Jian Hao and Joshua. So there we were enjoying ourselves!
We also sang 2 new songs, Jingle Bells and Christmas With Johnny Marks, which was a medley of I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day, Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer and Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree. Haha, both songs were like shit. Jingle Bells was off key especially the beginning and Johnny Marks was totally off timing.... Could have been worse. The other songs were alright.(Thankfully!) Oh ya.....I was spared from singing solo today! Yeah! I was so nervous cos my mom came to watch and all the seniors were there........If I sing wrongly, sure mati one. That's the bad thing about singing solo. It's so easy to pick up mistakes and believe me, you gotta have broad shoulders to handle the responsibility and pressure, especially if you are stepping in for a pro soloist.........Furthermore that song, Gaudete brings back memories of last year which I will elaborate some other time if I feel like it.
I guess that wraps up the day cos there was nothing really interesting besides going to IMM to window shop this morning before carolling. Ok I shall sign off now haha!!!

"Joy To The World
The Lord Is Come
Let Earth Receive Her King
Let Every Heart
Prepare Him Room
And Heaven And Angel Sing
Joy To The World
The Saviour Reigns
Let Man Their Songs Employ
While Fields And Floods
Rocks, Hills And Plains
Repeat The Sounding Joy
He Rules The World
With Truth And Grace
And Makes The Nations Prove
The Glories Of
His Righteousness
And Wonders Of His Love"
